Natural guy, composer and performer, spiritually oriented, earth-oriented Jew, neo-hippy.
I've been searching for a name that identifies me. Until now I went by Barefoot Bard, which is linked to a performance project I was involved years ago, Tales of the Barefoot Bard.
At this time of my life I needed a faerie name that identified my connection to nature and both my masculine and femenine energies. So I chose Dandelion, as Achinoam Nini sings, a "wild flower growing in all the wrong places."
Dandelions are fragile and beautiful in their own way, but they are also very resiliant and strong-willed. Dandelions are medicinal (good for the digestive system). The word derives from French "dent de lion" which means tooth of a lion, and lions are specially totemic to me. They remind me of the Ari zal and of Ariel, the holy city. Dandelion seeds hold together in a delicate balance, ready to float on the air when touched by the breeze.
