I just got a book for my dear friend - it's so fun!  I love to order gifts!  I teach in another 3 hours...    I went to the library...  Lucy was in the back seat smiling the entire way.  Ho ho ho...  :)

I won the 1977 Seventeen Magazine.  Yay!  I know it is silly - but somehow it is really cool to me.  Blockbuster sent me the movie the Pursuit of Happyness in the mail today...  Is it worth watching?  Even though my family has already bought tons of toys for the kids across the street from us (single mom with five children),  I really want to get this for my mom for Christmas.  I saw it at the Vet's when Lucy got groomed and had her nail's clipped.  It is the cutest thing in the world with Twinkle lights and my mother adores cats.  I'm trying to find it for a bit less than what they are asking...

Meanwhile I am teaching and doing OK... not fantastic but not bad.  Teaching is the main thing.  Christmas Concert rehearsals are this Saturday.

I just put the wallet sized photo of my hubby and me that we had taken in August in my wallet (finally).  It is the first time that I have ever had a photo in my wallet.  I realize that everyone just uses their ipod Nano's now but I'm behind the times...  Anyway - I suggest it.  What's in your wallet?

It's 15 to nine and I teach at 10. I try to keep it straight - my first student is expecting Hanukkah Harry and the next ones anticipate Santa. I pull on this week's pair of clean jeans ... what size? 32 waist 34 length. A bit too big but not ridiculous. They have a nice patch on the left knee. Excellent. I pull out one of the myriad of no-longer-worn clean sweaters from my mother. This one is a black turtleneck to match the cute black socks with the Mary Quant flowers sewn on the outside by the ankles which I have already chosen. I check the label of the sweater and read the name Ralph Lauren(!) *sigh* This is her cast off because it no longer fits her. It is cashmere but not itchy and it fits me perfectly. I am so lucky.

Somehow I get lost in linkland on the computer and find this image from my youth. I cry. I mean honestly! Really, this girl is, in my opinion the epitome of beautiful. Always has been. I sooo wanted to look like her when I was young. And I tried desperately and failed miserably. The magazine is on Ebay. I can't help myself so I make a bid. I won't pay too much but it is really worth something to me. I remember it so well.

It's almost time to teach.

Yesterday, when I was with my mother and hubby at Shopko to buy more books, I saw a familiar image on the optometrist poster by the pharmacy. "I used to date him," I think (homecoming dance) and my Mother even remembers. She lets out a squeal, "I remember him!". My hubby says, "Wow he's an optometrist. You married the wrong guy!" "No," I assure him and give him a big kiss, "I married the RIGHT guy!" Later I prove it to him. ;)

Life is good.

My dear friend had a baby girl last Monday and named her "Liberty". What a wonderful name.

It doesn't seem that much like Christmas since I'm not playing Nutcracker everyday like I have for the past 10 or 12 years. I do play it once next week. And then again on the 23rd. I've trimmed the Christmas Tree... (trim? decorate? Whatever...) I'll take photos tonight...

Today is our 3rd Wedding anniversary. :) Amazing! Crystal... Also leather.

I wrote that on the 5th of December- our anniversary-  Today is the 8th...

There is nothing nicer than laying on the couch in my Flannel Nightgown (Except mine has thin ribbon) by the Christmas tree and reading a book  while it snows outside. Yep- it feels like Christmas.  :)
