This week has been a flurry of ups and downs.
After months of being increasingly ill, I'm finally feeling better - pointing towards Lyme disease as the cause of all my distress (as that was the most recent thing I've been treated for).
After dropping my laptop at Wildfire (shudder), I just got it back from the repair shop and it's working as well as it ever has!

Now for the other side of the coin:
My living room window fell out of the sill during a thunderstorm, leaving a huge gaping orifice in my wall, and glass all over my floor. That should be repaired tomorrow.
My main MIDI controller for DJing (not the Korg08, thankfully) has three keys that don't work anymore, mysteriously. This is a major problem for me!
The camp that I was helping to fund and DJ at at Tranformus, the Pyrokinetic Geometric Philosophers' guild is now canceled, due to the new 21+ age requirement. Too bad it happened after our sound-stage was already constructed.
I got fired from DJing at Pi Pizza Bistro on Cape Cod. The owner had a very specific and bizarre idea of the kind of promotion he needed to get enough people to show up and keep the night alive, so he let me go this afternoon. It wasn't the best venue in the world, but it was a weekly 4 hour slot and it paid. Plus I got free pizza! Luckily, he likes the music I play and produce, as well as my professionalism, so he said I could count on him for a recommendation. Small consolation, though.
So to recap - between computer repair, window repair, MIDI controller repair, losing my job, and having the festival camp become instant sunk cost, losing my job, it makes me damned happy that at least I have my health **bitter laugh**

Now for the big good news - I'm about to release my newest DJ demo set, "Return of the Funknodrome". It's all my favorite tracks of the past 6 months, and sounds a bit like the peak of my set at Walpurgisnacht. One hour of pure awesomeness!
