My Testimonials

August 7, 2005
She is my favorite dance partner - the friend who makes the word "friend" seem unworthy a term. It isn't enough, so I say she is my Sister - and that she is. She's clever, she's silly and she makes me feel more myself when I am with her. We may live far apart but we talk every day and she's always in my heart.

She understands the importance of inside jokes, tea parties (with our own special rules) and just being. Oh, and by the way? She's the best damn seamstress I know! ;)

Pass the tea, please!

Re: Pennsic dreams...again (in The Vulgar Unicorn) Pennsic Anxiety Dreams! I usually start having PADs in Feb or March. I dream I get there and forgot my garb, or my tent, or tent poles or whatever. Or you get there and the event moved, or its the wrong date!

But, this year I have been so c... read more

Re: M.E. dance expo (in SCA Middle Eastern Dance) The calender is live now, and the Expo is indeed in its traditional spot.

When/where is the sign-up for it usually? I have never danced in the show, so am not really sure on the details of this. . .

In the event the link is bad - goto the Reconstructing HIstory website and look under Medieval Patterns :-)

Re: Haberci!!! (in Pennsic Dark Thirty) I will make a PDF of the publication available for war. There will be free copies available for pick up at a couple of merchants (usually YIV and at Touch the Earth, though I have to confirm with those vendors before I make that statement officia... read more

My Blog

For those who don't know, each year for Pennsic, I (with some help) produce a flyer that's made available free (while supplies last) at Pennsic. This has Middle Eastern class listings (both official classes and non-official classes), a performance calender and an event calender (haflas, informal performances and parties that cater to those whose interests in the SCA lay in the Near or Middle East).

If you know that your group is having an event that you want listed on the calender, please ... read more

Just came off the boat and are sitting outside a downtown hotel for the media to take a peek. Of course I had to go check them out.

I have to say they look sweet, and that green is amazing in person!

I am trying to win a chance to be part of the Fiesta Movement - which is Ford's introduction of the new Fiesta to the US market! The contest requires a video, but between the lagging cough/cold and spring allergies, I am too raspy for filming. Instead, I made a brief intro, and also built (finally) my new (permanent) blog (which is currently Fiesta themed for the occasion).

Please click the link here for the slide show, and the full written blog/entry is below if you care to read!

I know there are quite a few SCA members here on Tribe, so I thought I would put this info out for those who might not know about this great event (or for anyone who might want to try one!).

I have gone to this event since its inception several years back. It really is one of the best Middle Eastern events the SCA has to offer!!! There will be music all day (most will be live!), there will be AMAZING AMAZING food, there will be classes and there will be lots and lots of open dance!
