Call for Submissions - The Devil Made Me Do It

   Fri, April 14, 2006 - 12:50 AM
In honor of 6/6/6 (June 6th, 2006), Rehab Studios and Basswerks are
seeking submissions of any medium for the upcoming art show "The Devil
Made Me Do It." Saturday, June 3rd through Tuesday, June 6th, these
two studios will be transformed into a display of devilish delight.

If you have work that would fit this theme or are interested in
creating work for the show, please send the following information to
bw.devilart@gmail.com on or before April 27, 2006:

+ Examples of your past work: Photos of at least two completed pieces.
News articles, reviews, etc. would also be helpful (but are not
required) to help us get an idea of your style.

+ Your submission(s) for the show: We welcome both completed artwork
and concepts/works in progress. In all cases, a description of the
concept for each submission is required. In addition, if the work is
completed, please send 2-5 photos of the piece, or for installation or
performance, please include photos of similar past work (if possible)
in addition to a detailed description. For works in progress, the
piece must be ready to be installed by May 31st, 2006.

There is no limit to the number of pieces each artist can submit.
There will be a $10 submission fee per artist to help cover promotion
and installation costs. The fee will be refunded to the artist if no
submission is accepted.

EARLY SUBMISSIONS STRONGLY SUGGESTED; space is limited.
Don't forget to include your phone number and email address.
Contact Jason or Aleta at (323) 939-2535 for additional information.

Please forward to anyone who might be interested in the show.
