Some kind of Journal, or something...
Verbal paint splatters
Tue, July 10, 2007 - 10:17 AMI've found over the last couple of months that my creative writing skills aren't what they used to be. I used to be able to write all sort of quaint little stories that made friends laugh; stupid little things that prompted folks to suggest I write literature for kids. My sister still wants to do it, so she can illustrate… and I should. I'd love that.
Then I actually try to do it now, and the analytical, jaded 32 year old brain kicks in and jumbles me all up again. What the heck? What's so hard about writing simply, leaving out all the perfect grammar and rules about run-on sentences… Control control control. I haven't lost that in a bit too long, maybe. It'd be nice to plunge into someone else's hands a while.
Barring that, I think I'll make use of Janie's chalkboard paint. Time to write on the walls. :)

Ba11a!!! :) Long time no...um, see or something! :)
I know what you mean about writing, though for me, it seems the words only flow when I'm feeling angsty and emo. :P Hope life is treating you well! *hugs* |

I think - now that the air has cleared...so to speak, and ZEN has returned...and I hugged Mose and Hannah on Saturday....writing will not be so hard for you. Your brain has been under pressure....I would sing the Billy Joel song here....but you wouldn't hear it and all the folks in this library would know what a kook Janie is ...
I didn't see and chalkboard paint on your walls yet...so what's the hold-up? Hmmmmmm ???( insert smug eyelash batting female face here) And you will have a camping experience to blog about come Monday.... hugs and hugs... PS - hard to explain drumming....it must be tasted....yep yep |
