Magidah is one of the most incredible dancers and an awesome teacher. She makes priceless pants that make my ass look fantastic. Seriously. I didn't think it could be done... another thing she proved was doable was shimmying on one leg!!! I felt wonky at first and I was like"Alas, this cannot be done" and she was like "Oh, but it can!" and proceeded to prove her point. Now I can do it, but only on my left leg which is odd. I am working on it though. Yet I digress... Magidah is amazing, and so are her pants!!! I highly recommend both!!!

Magidah is one of the most amazing women I have ever had the privilege to know. She is also one of the most incredible dance teachers I have had the pleasure to study under.
From the first days that I met her, she has been attentive to anyone who was struggling to learn the dance. Her previous dance training helps her to be able to explain to experienced dancers and non-dancers alike where a movement is originating from in the body and how to replicate it expertly.
Her patience is unlimited and her concern for her students in genuine. Her understanding and appreciation for the music is phenomenal and her passion is easily shared by her students. She is without a doubt one of the best mentors anyone could hope to have to usher them into the beauty and grace that is raks sharqi.

Magidah is hands down one of the most powerful dancers I have ever seen, and as a teacher, can change everything you know and feel about belly dancing in an hour! Every dancer should experience Magidah-fication.

about me
I have been dancing all my life, but found and fell in love with Bellydancing in 1996 under the tutelage of the rockin' Aziza, who now has her home base in Montreal. I am currently teaching in my own Studio, and look forward to expanding my dance horizons in the coming year.
As some of you may know, I have been teaching an Introductory level belly dance class at Woodstock Wellness Center (4512 SE Woodstock) since the beginning of November. I have also been hearing through the grapevine that there are people who are at a more advanced level of classes that are not able to come to my studio on the West side, but miss being able to take class from me.

Well, it is a little humorous that I was lusting after Sarah Brightman's fantasy costume and not realizing that my Barbie costume has very similar elements, LOL. I had a great time at Thursday night's gig -- great crowd, new fancy costume (which got good feedback), some good pictures and nice tips. I felt good about my performance, and it turned out to be all about arms and flutters. I don't perform much around town anymore, and when I do get out and improv it just happens without any real...

I mean, it has everything. Well, I guess a corset isn't exactly bellyroll friendly.......I'll have to figure out how to keep the look with midriff showing. Oh, and I won't be wearing the shoes either.
