Sarah Palin Uses Her Children as Political Tools

   Fri, March 20, 2009 - 7:42 PM
President Obama bowls a 129 and sticks his foot in his mouth when he says it's a Special Olympics score on the Tonight Show. Governor Sarah Palin then calls the remark insensitive to those with disabilities like her youngest son who has Down's Syndrome.

Governor Palin has refused to accept $160 Million in Federal Stimulus money for education including Special Education. Special Education funds are what pays for educating children with disabilities, like Governor Sarah Palin's youngest son.

Governor Palin, stop using your children as political tools. It's smarmy, sleazy, dirty, dishonest and makes all of Alaska look just that bad. I wouldnt use my kids as political tools like you have used yours. Is your ambition so great that you would do or use anything or anyone to get what you want? Not very christian of you. Not very Alaskan either. I think we are better than that. It's time you lived up to a higher ethical and moral standard. it is after all what you campaigned for Governor on, right?

Yeah, when he said that I thought "oooh.....people are going to get him for that one!"

But nonetheless, I hope he thinks the risks are worth it, because I think it's fantastic that there's at least a glimmer of hope that a president is accessible enough to be asked questions, especially comedians (who are a notorious bunch for not staying within the limits).

You're right about Palin...criticizing yet at the same time rejecting funds that would not only go towards special education but also Infant Learning Programs as well. Luckily the legislature can override her with enough votes. Hopefully that will happen.
