about me
I am a professional violin/fiddle player. In 30 years of playing, I've explored many styles of music. My current passion is Arabic, Turkish and Armenian music;
I make my living by playing in Jazz groups and Country groups around New York City, across the country and internationally. But, I'm continuing to school myself in the oriental styles of playing and hope to make a niche for myself in the Oriental Music community. My current teachers/mentors are Rachid Halihal, Youssef Kassab and Souren Baronian. I play in Rachid Halihal's Layali el Andalus Ensemble www.layalielandalus.com and also do my own shows around New York City featuring the violin in small groups with a variety of Middle Eastern musicians.

I'm looking forward to seeing my friends in Phoenix again on March 31st at the workshops and hafla with Rachid Halihal and Souhail Kasper. I'll be going to the Heartland Seminar on Arabic Music in Racine, Wisconsin the previous week and flying straight from there to Phoenix for the hafla. So, I'll be charged up and ready to play my butt off.
