My Blog

My friend John left today after being here for about a month. That’s a simple sentence that doesn’t sound anywhere near as huge as it feels. For so many reasons.

The last couple months have been the most difficult of my life—or at least while I’ve been in awareness. I may have had worse ones in the past, but kind of just lived in a haze of ignoring what was going on. John came to stay with me awhile as I had reached a very frightening low. I’ve never experienced what I did this last month ... read more

EATING THE WORLD

I was born with my mouth open…
entering this juicy world
of peaches and lemons and ripe sun
and the pink and secret flesh of women,
this world where dinner is in the breath
of the subtle desert,
in the spices of the distant sea
which late at night drift over sleep.

I was born somewhere between
the brain and the pomegranate,
with a tongue tasting the delicious textures
of hair and hands and eyes;
I was born out of the heart stew,
out of the infinite bed, to w... read more

My Testimonials

July 10, 2008
Ellie you are totally cool person.

I was hoping to come up with a poem, but my mind is in like twenty different places. Plus I need some to work with other than crow.

Any way thanks for being a friend and listening.

Out of the more than 1,000 members of my Tribe I have but a handful of lady friends.

Ellie is a wonderful woman.

Eventually I will get to DC and we shall ride the Metro together and hear the voice say "Foggy Bottom"...

She is kind, caring, and I am truly blessed to count her among my friends.

Thank you for being here with me dear lady.

Peace

Namaste’

Ellie has the unique gift to see beyond the visible,- its like looking through one of those kaleidoscope lenses, where you know what you are looking at is something you thought you knew already, but now you see it quite differently, and with an air of magic. Spend some time reading her entries on her site, or browse over her stunning photos, and you will know what I mean.

Thank you for letting me see things with mystery. jana

From Bishop Timothy Price:

Thank You For Being A Friend
( Andrew Gold )

Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down a road and back again
Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

If it's a car you lack
I'd surely buy you a Cadillac
Whatever you need any time of the day or night

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear even though it's hard to hear
I will stand real close and say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

And when we die
And float away
Into the night
The milky way
You'll hear me call
As we ascend
I'll say your name
Then once again

Thank you for being a friend
