Re: Where to stay? (in Suhaila Salimpour's School) I have stayed at the Super 8 about a mile and half north in El Cerrito (sp?)
When I pre-payed for my room it was very reasonable. There seemed be plenty of parking although I just walked to the Bart to get to the studio.

Re: December in Denver? (in Colorado Belly Dance) House of Marrakesh, in lodo, also has live dancing on weekends. Just call ahead and make a reservation and ask if there will be a dancer. They call the dancer if they have enough reservations otherwise they don't have one.

The show will be all troupes, with dancing after. We have drink and light refreshments

Raqs Nova Winter Hafla

Join Raqs Nova Friday February 20th at 8pm for our Holiday Hafla!

Join dance duo Raqs Nova and guests for an evening of classic Middle Eastern dance performances at Harmony Tai Chi in Denver at 3rd and Galapago. Suhaila Salimpour Level 1 Certification

I have been working very hard at my Belly Dancing and as some of you know I was out of town the last week of January. This is what happened that week and since.

"Congratulations! You have passed the Suhaila Salimpour School of Belly Dance Level 1 Certification Test."

Costuming Workshops

It looks as if my proposal to Hyland Hills Recreation District are going to be accepted. Because I will be working with them instead of renting space the cost of the workshops are really reasonable. Much less than I would normally have to charge. This opportunity just dropped in to my lap. I was so shocked. I bought six sewing machines from my favorite sewing machine store and started to work out what I wanted to teach, and bamn..the workshop opportunity just showed up!
