Hey, glad tidings and salutations. My son, effective 6pm on Wednesday night this week, finished his Eagle board of review and can now claim the title Eagle Scout. Something like 2% of scouts make Eagle, says a lot about a kid sticking to a long ...

Oil prices have gone up today, Wall Street hasn’t. The perfect result for the pigs at the trough, don’t you think? More fear is needed to get the next pork-fest rolling. The $700 billion bailout bill became the 850 billion dollar pork-a-thon in the Senate. It's hard to imagine any true fiscal conservative would prefer this version of the bill to the one the House vetoed on Monday, yet surprise, they got their pound of pork, as John McCain nods in approva... read more
