I have a two bedroom with a back yard, and a basement for storage, and it's beautiful, in Bedstuy, three blocks from the Bedford Nostrand G train. I need someone for March 1st, possibly sooner. If you or anyone you know in NY looking for a steal, and a good roomate, please hit me up! Peace!

I took both these pictures months apart. Two different neighborhoods in Brooklyn, two different fences. Alone they are just interesting to look at, but merged together they mean something special!

So I'm on the hunt! I'm looking for a one bedroom or studio apt in Brooklyn, $800-1,000 /month. My move date is March 1st, but I'll take a good find as early as Feb. If you know of any thing let me know. Sublet is ok if it's for like a year or more.

So... last week I auditioned fer this TV show called date night. It's like dinner and a movie, where they show a series of older movies over a month and have a host to spice it up and get people interested in the show. The movies will be, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Die Hard, Pretty in Pink and Sister act. A couple a days ago I got werd I was a back up for the Fast Times episode. I thought that was cool and prayed for the dude in front of me to fall off a cliff. I don't think anyone fell off a cliff, but I just got a call and will be hosting AMC's Date Night presentation of Sister Act... I have always dreamed of hosting a movie about singing nun's:) It will probably air in September. Fuck'n A!

So I'm a little late in realizing I lost my rain jacket at PDF. But it's fucking POURING in brooklyn right now and I ain't got no coat (for rain). The tree in front of our building blew down last night! It was a grey REI rain jacket and it's new. It was also kinda expensive and a gift so's I'm bummed. You may have seen me dancing/stomping in the puddles Sunday night. I think I may have left it over at PEX. If ya know about such a coat let me know cus the rain pants that go with it are lonely.

Family is very important, but that doesn't mean "family" always exists in the traditional way. Family can also mean your good friends. It's more about having a strong support system of people you can trust implicitly. It's the people you feel safe with who provide a longstanding measure of love and acceptance that is equal to a family environment. I remember after I got caught stealing my dad's car and getting it stuck in a mud field, and reporting it stolen, and being 15, the police officer, who was my D.A.R.E. officer, told me "you are who your friends are" (so get new friends). I didn't.
I'm very close to my "family", but my family is much bigger and I'm grateful every moment of my life for all of you. Your smiles are the inspiration to my every action. Since being in NY my family seems to have exploded with smiles. Maybe Officer Joe was right, I am you and you are me. Hey, I got the key's to this car. Wanna go for a ride?

Calling creatives 4 new web zine

So's I'm act'n as a creative networking liaison for the new web zine, Reality Sandwich. All a yall’s with the creative dark matter well’d up inside ya, get it out here where we can see it. We’re looking for more than the literary to represent our evolving consciousness, but all the artists in all the forms, from interviews, and animation to animated interviews. The editor and creator of the zine is Daniel Pinchbeck, author of "Breaking Open The Head" and "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl". He's been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine and on the Colbert Report. This is a unique opportunity to have your work featured in a magazine that is on the cutting edge of reality! If you have a piece or want to know more contact me by email bllkennedy@yahoo.com.

Reality Sandwich
Evolving consciousness, bite by byte

Many of us recognize that postindustrial society has crossed the threshold into an era of acute crisis – and evolutionary opportunity. Reality Sandwich will offer an on-line forum for exploring the dynamics of this time of awesome change, incorporating pragmatic as well as prophetic dimensions. We will cover subjects such as sustainability, climate change, shamanic techniques, holistic lifestyles, revitalization of the commons, emerging technologies, psychic experiments, as well as the art, music, and other cultural expressions of the new planetary culture. The site will launch as a group blog, with content provided by a team of regular contributors. Posts will range from short, topical articles, to reflective personal essays, to new book excerpts, to multimedia interviews. Counteracting the doom-and-gloom of the daily news, Reality Sandwich is a platform for voices conveying a different vision of the transformations we face.

Potential writers and editors should take a look at current successful web magazines and blogsites such as worldchanging.com and boingboing.net. We would like Reality Sandwich to consist of a mix of short, topical pieces (a few hundred words, or less, each) that may link to news stories or other websites, and longer essays. The articles should have strong openings that draw readers into the piece.

In the next few weeks we would love to see some sample postings from you, as well as a sense of how much time you might be able to commit to this project, which will be strictly volunteer and unpaid for the first few months of its life, at least.

Thanks, Bill Kennedy
