Taurus...Earth Rooster...Red Resonant Earth...Bulgarian/Israeli/Filipino Blood...Born 1969 in Jafa, Israel (ken, ani SABRA). At age 4 move to the Philippines. (Anong Say mo....) Got to experience the life of poverty in the province of Calamba Laguna with grandparents, (Nako.. hirap nang buhay namin) uncles, aunts, cousins all packed in a 2 bedroom home, sleeping on straw mats. Rice was my staple diet. Third world conditions.
After 6 years of this harsh reality my father (being a diplomat) was assigned to Rangoon Burma for 8 years. (Chi Zu... Tem ba de... shing...) (Ne Kown da la..? ) I was enrolled in a Private Diplomatic School I.S.R (international school rangoon) Got to experience the affluent life of a diplomat. We lived in a mansion with maids, a driver, and a gardener housed in separate quarters. Became members of the American Club. We were rich.
Graduated from the International High School at 18. That is when my dad was recalled back to the Philippines. We live in Manila for three years... I went to the University of the Philippines for a year.. started a profesional moddeling carreer...quit school...got to experience life as a model..
Then we moved to Bangkok, Thailand. (Sawasdee Crap.) Went to Assumption Bussiness Administration College.. started modelling...quit school... Gulf War broke out.. My dad got posted to Israel. The whole family went. At the airport my visa was canceled and my Filipino passport was confiscated. I was born in Israel and my mom was jewish....which made me eligible for the IDF (Israeli Defence Force)...instant draft. I was stuck in Israel until I completed my service. I served for a year in the Gaza strip. Longest year of my life. Military experience made a man out the boy. After the army I ended up working at low end jobs digging ditches with Palestinians (cheap labor) where I got to befriend the very people we were oppressing) This made me realize that I didn't want to live in Israel... so I save up my hard earned money, walked into the US embassy with my brand new Israeli passport and got a visa to America. 1994 I land in LA International... Freedom...
Life is full of twists and turns.. you never know where you would end up... I am glad that I ended up here in California... I discovered the Didgeridoo at the Golden Gate park tunnels right by Hippie Hill.
I have lived quiet a colorful life. Now, at the age of 37, I'm raising an amazing being, Sage (age 7). I asked for a teacher and my son was born.. He is quiet a blessing... next stage... I love being in this magical country... The indigenous peoples of this land have a lot to teach...
