I am the author of Ashley and Tiana, which will be published in July 2009. Ashley and Tiana chronicles the adventures of two twelve year old New York natives who meet at camp in Pennsylvania during the summer of 1982. As Hip Hop and punk culture emerge as cultural phenomena, Tiana and Ashley's understanding of their place in the world expands. Ashley and Tiana is a story for girls and boys of all ages about valuing friendship, persevering in the face of challenges, and celebrating the everyday joys of life.
