Change the Dream - More is NOT better, There IS enough and it is NOT just how it is!

Tomorrow I am going back to Kaua'i. I had some time on the Big Island to be busy, play, and go inward. I've learned a lot more about the culture of Hawai'i in these past two weeks. I see Hawai'i as islands in the Pacific and America and the rest of the USA as being completely separate. Never having been here before in this body, I didn't think much of it. I imagine that I am not alone in that line of thinking. I have great concern over the land, sea and wildlife. How can I do more and help others do more in day to day life? This is one of my mantras as I shop or move throughout the day.

I stayed in a house that had full plumbing and all the water came from a cistern. I was very careful with the amount of water I used. It brought a lot of consciousness and appreciation of fresh water.

I saw a movie on PBS that showed that they now believe that global warming is worse than we thought. They have found that the greenhouse effect is being cooled by the particles in the air from pollution. As we reduce the amount of pollution in the air, it will intensify the heat causing the glaciers to melt quicker and then there will be a release of methane gas that causes the oceans to burn. It was a Nova documentary if you want more information. Seeing this intensifies my desires to help make some dramatic changes.

Lynn Twist talks about Changing the Dream. I'm with her!

the miricle tree
how i miss the islands. the islands of hawaii are definitely separate of the us. such a strong culture where the roots of it still exist. on another note i reconnected with a brother who was living on kaua'i , but is now on the ridge near nevada city. he is friends with eric who does astrology. he told me about a miracle tree being tested in kaua'i for it incredible carbon balancing attributes. there are all sorts of awsome things he told me about but i need to tune in with him again. try and learn about this incredible work being done for our precious mother earth and i will try to get the info of the peeps doing this project on the island. the name of the tree is paulownia. love and aloha, murali.
