You know...one of the things about shooting both dance and sports is that you cannot convey the whole thing in a single image. How she got into this position and up from it, both without ever touching the tray, is mindboggling and lost in a still photo.

Perhaps the only thing more satisfying than hearing the roar of the crowd after a particularly impressive performance, is getting to see afterwards, when someone discovers exactly how you kicked their butt and how much you put into preparing for the butt kicking when they have misguidedly underestimated you. :)

There was this moment when I was taking these photos where I was just babbling in amazement at the painting the sun was making in the sky...chortling with glee...and there were these guys fishing on the same pier, that just didn't see it. They looked at me like I was insane. Haha. Yeah, I'm the crazy one. :)
