The War on Art...
Many of you may have already seen this blog from me but I thought I would go ahead and redo it with a little more background as well as some added emphasis on just what is at stake.A short time ago a law was passed here in Texas to ban artwork that displays the names of fallen soldiers. I personally find this to be nothing short of despicable! It's "laws" like these that show the true colors of those who orchestrated this illegal war... pure yellowbelly shame!
The only reason anyone would try to hide rather than HONOR fallen heroes is because of their own shame and dishonor!
First they ban the art... what next, the destruction and removal of the many war memorials throughout the country? have we become so utterly fearful of death... that we would attempt to hide our eyes from the names of those who fought that we might live?!
Please... don't let the shame of our so called leaders determine what art is and is not acceptable!
... let us always remember, these solders fought and died to preserve our freedom of expression... not have it destroyed in their names!!!
if you would like to help with this effort please go here...

And remember, even if you don't have the money to spare any support you can provide is more than welcome and deeply appreciated!
Many thanks!
Love again...
We are in love with ourselves. We look to each other
in search of that which is already found within.
That which lies within can,
just as readily,
be found in the eyes of every enemy and every friend.
Meant to meet time and time again...
Like these two lovers;
The paper and the pen.
Perceived separate
only by the eyes of the unrealized.
The smile of an old man
passes onto a childish grin
and on it proceeds,
again and again...
Peace and love pervade
even in the bloodiest of sin.
Just as nature can be found
in the most synthetic creations of men.
And even through the most tireless efforts,
Separation is only concept
with no beginning and no end...
So we fall in love,
with ourselves,
...over and over again!
update...
as some of you may have noticed I have not been all that active on tribe lately. September was a very busy month for me... and, if it weren't for the unfortunate fact that a fire took out the sandwich shop I was working at, I would probably still be just trying to 'catch up'! but, since this extra time has suddenly become avalible I thought I would use it to give everyone an update on how things have progressed over the past month. In Augest I made mention of a group of community members I have been involved with here in Austin know as "Crude Awakening". At the time of my last report we were putting together a presentation to our City Council to follow the lead of other progressive cities (namely Portland and San Fan) adopt a resolution that addresses the issues of energy and resource depletion. Although I was personally unable to attend the presentation I must give credit and high regard to those that made it possible as it seems, so far, to have had the desired effect. The presentation itself was well coordinated with a total of 4 different speakers given their own 3 min section of what was originally intended to be a 15 min presentation. Dispite the obvious hurdels of getting something like this corriographed into a single cohecive statment the presentation managed to catch the attention of all the right people to help move the resolution on to the next phase.
At the last Crude Awakening meeting we were joined by former Austin City Council Member and current Deputy General Manager of Austin Energy, Roger Duncan. Roger has been ~the~ pioneer in making Austin Energy’s Green Choice program the most successful utility-sponsored green power program in the nation with over 665 million subscribed kWh. He has made it his personal mission to see that the issues of Peak Oil (as well as energy depletion in general) are addressed by the city. he has taken it upon himself to spearhead the passing of our resolution and hopes to co-chair the proposed Energy Depletion Risks Task Force… and I doubt we could have hoped for anyone more qualified!
Things are moving fairly quickly on this front now and I will do my best to keep you all in the loop. For now, however, I must return to the job search… wish me luck!
So much...
So much good stuff happening on tribe these days! I'm having a terrible time keeping up with it all. I wish there were some type of device that would allow me to read all the new posts without loosing any time for everything else in life!...when can I expect that to be worked in as a feature?
Taking a break -
I'll be out of town and away from technology for a little while. --- don't wait up!Smarter than the average dog?
I haven't posted a blog in a while... but today I had a friend email me wanting to know my thoughts on the government's use of pharmaceuticals to numb and dumb the general population. my response, although mostly off subject, seemed broad enough in scope to post as a blog for everyone to read...---
Well, there is so much to be said on that subject that I could probably spend half my life writing several books and still only manage to scratch the surface.
First thing I'll say is that it goes way beyond the government. The gov's of the world are only puppet regimes in place mostly to act as a patsy when the people start to 'get wise' to The Game.
The Game is all about world domination (which, on the grand scale of things is really nothing more than a colossal waste of time... but there are plenty of greedy banksters out there with nothing better to do and so we have what they've affectionately dubbed the "New World Order" - that should win me a red flag or two!)
Governments are only there to act as a buffer to keep us tied up in red tape while the heads of big business and banking laugh... 'All the way to the bank!' pharmaceuticals, along with 99% of all other industries, are not only a source of windfall 'profit' (I'll get to the definition of that word in a minute or two here) but also a means to the domestication of the human species. Drones, clones and slaves is what they want of us! - They are also, in so many ways, breeding us (at least, for the time being) to be good consumers.
So this begs the question, why is consumerism a desired trait? Well, as we consume we indebt ourselves (and our future generations) to the bankers... we are, in essence, selling ourselves into slavery through our appetite for the latest new techno gadget, blingin' wheels or hip new fad. (That is... if all these papers [i.e. Money, contracts, bonds, licenses and more...] are to be believed.)
The more we consume what the banksters are promoting the more disconnected we become from our natural means of survival. Do you know how far that piece of broccoli had to travel to reach your fork?
All this leaves us in a very vulnerable state. We are today more dependant on these 'slave masters' than we have been at any other time in our history. How many people in modern society would know how to feed themselves without the local grocery store? - What if there comes a point in time when the grocery stores have been shut down due to "supply disruptions" and... Oh wait, here comes a nice man who tells me I can have all the food I want if I just join his forced labor camp... gee, that doesn't sound too bad!
The key, they've found, is consent! If they can make someone believe that slavery is in their best interest... well, who'd be dumb enough to fight what is in their best interest?
They want us to WANT to be their slaves... just as we have made dogs (and other animals) WANT to be our companions... by disconnecting them from their traditional means of survival and providing them an easier means through their dependence on us.
Fortunately, not all of us humans are as docile as dogs... and some might even be smarter!
Fortunately for us also, these banksters are a bit short-sighted. They are in such a hurry to catch all these windfall profits that they are forgetting something very important... they, too, have a life to sustain. And no legion of slaves is going to protect them from the fury of Mother Earth's karmic retribution!
Profit, ya see, is really nothing more then taking gain while pushing loss off into other parts of the system. It’s one of the main tenants of science - no action without equal and opposite reaction! And who suffers more for all this wealth accumulation than the raped and pillaged earth? – They’re surly soon to realize, she has teeth... and a vicious bite to back 'em up!
But this is not the bankers only vulnerabilities either! Perhaps their greatest fallacy is in their belief that power and control are actually possible - or even real!
I've probably said it a hundred times before but it's worth reiterating - control is only an illusion.
when we're driving down the road we feel like we are in control... if we move the steering wheel one way we turn in that direction... but that doesn't prevent a sinkhole from suddenly opening up and swallowing us whole - who's in control now?
So the banksters want to control the people... but the people still have some bite left in them as well!
what I find funny about what I see going on today...
there are these people at the top who are so disconnected from the rest of society that they think they have us fooled because the boys below them, who are just trying to climb the ladder, are fudging the numbers to make themselves look better and to make their bosses happy. What they fail to realize is that the majority of people know (or at least have that ‘gut feeling’) that something is terribly wrong with the world today. Most people are still only "going along with it" because they see no other alternative.
But I can tell you with all confidence and conviction that, not only are our alternatives many and wide ranging, some of them are most advantageous!
The trick is learning how natural processes and cycles of life work and learning to mimic them. Let's not forget that Mother Earth has sustained life without problem for many millennia. Then we came along, with our big brains, and figured... "Hey, this ain't so hard... I'll bet I can do it better then Mother Nature herself can!"
It turns out that we weren't all that brainy after all! - And now we're only fooling ourselves into thinking what we're doing is right.
The truth is our systems today - the most disturbing of all being the systems of modern agriculture - are completely unsustainable.
If we were really smart we might come to realize that we are carrying a heavier burden than is necessary. Does the monkey have to go till up, sterilize and irrigate the land to feed itself?
If we could get out of this delusion that we are somehow dominate over all the land we might come to the realization that we are merely participants in this experiment called life. The monkey jumps from tree to tree eating fruit while casting seed (in his ignorance... really?) helping to insure a food supply for generations of monkeys to come.
In all our brilliance, we sterilize acres of land with chemicals to grow a single crop that requires tractors, planes, combines and more and more energy every year to produce less and less.
Why?
Because, in thinking we can do better, we have attempted to eliminate Mother Nature from the process. But all we have done is eliminate the natural checks and balances that promote a healthy ecosystem.
If we learn to mimic natural healthy ecosystems we can reconnect to that bountiful Garden of Eden that birthed us to begin with. Better yet - we can recognize and begin to once again share that bounty with the rest of life!
Simply put, the destruction of our ecosystems will result in the destruction of ourselves... but is this really all were capable of?
I think our desire for life and happiness will one day out weigh our desire for blingin' rims and techno gadgets.
But when...
Well, that’s a question we all have to ask ourselves!
everybody's talking 'bout it so why don't I?
so everybody's upset with the changes to tribe...and although I couldn't agree more,
it hasn't changed my motive for being here.
it's not about the look...
it's not about the advertisements...
it's not even about the new CEO...
honestly, it's all about the people...
the people are what make this network!
but here's the deal...
as we all know,
tribe is looking to...
expand their marketability!
and this has the very real potential of bringing in a whole new set of minds.
but what if we viewed that as an opportunity?
the young minds of today,
just the crowd tribe is trying to recruit,
have been ripped apart,
over medicated,
and disenfranchised
by a system that
herds them into
little molds
of synthetic-
perfection.
given the pressure that their under...
don't you think it's time they were shown some love?
we might find it painful...
it could become distracting...
but what could be more rewarding then helping to free a young mind?
then again...
we could all migrate to zaadz...
but who's to say it won't end up the same way?
they seem hip to material wealth...
maybe it's just another door to the same room...
but the point is not to go around closing our doors to the outside world!
we need to be as open as possible...
imagine what the world would be like if we saw every little nominal happenstance as an opportunity?
imagine if we greeted everyone and everything with the same level of open mindedness and open heartedness?
what if we all stopped challenging the system and started challenging ourselves?
blog...
yea...that's right...
I finally did it!
... wasn't that exciting?
was it what you hoped it would be?
what's that?
you expected more?!
is that all I am to you...
words on a screen?
what do you think this is...
a game?
how did you get here?
where are you going?
are you ~here~
are you ~now~
were you before?
will you be after?
where are you when you're not?
