I live with my husband, Ted, and 6 children and a variety of small furry creatures that are always in a state of flux. That's what you get when the school becomes a farm school, you're an unofficial nursery and vet. I love all styles of belly dance especially the fast stuff. I love the costumes from earthy tribal to Egyptian glam, it's all good stuff.

Had a great day at the Evandale Penny Farthing Race. We didn't get to see any of the races but we had a good time. The terrain posed some challenge but like all dancers we adapted and coped. We were on after some great break dancers - the Funk Factory - and they kindly let us use their sound system. Had a good time at Launceston's Festivale. The dance floor slightly dipped to the left so we kept "listing" to one side but luckily no'one fell off. It was good to see a lot of familiar faces in the crowd too. Thanks guys

Hello, Just thought I'd mention some upcoming events the Sheik Charmers are involved in over the next few weeks. If anyone's at Festivale on Sunday then we will be on the dance stage at 2.55 that afternoon. I know its towards the end of the day but we will definitely try to make it worth your wait and we will be doing our new drum solo for the first time! Well, I am so happy to say that I will be teaching the Adult Ed classes this year. I'm doing the beginner and intermediate groups. My brain has been working overtime planning for the year, and it should be a lot of fun.
