words

December 3, 2008
we have never talked aloud, we've never hugged, we've never watched the sun set or the sun rise. nonetheless we are bound by the finest thread of communication that is persistent, ageless, timeless, renewed and refreshed. we might not write for weeks or months but there is ever and always the most beautiful, if nearly invisible gravitational effect between her art and mine, her mind and mine, your heart and our hearts. it is mad love from us to you.

ahahahAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

(there's so much more to say about Flynn than this... but since she has a special place in my backwards laughing and I am lacking the right words to say ... this'll have to do for now)

flashes
where my eyes are opened
deep into my
insides
looking down my throat
into hers
into mine
back
and again
this is where i wind the music box
she made me
and find i am covered in light
made by myself
for she helps me see
in the dark and in the light
and i forgive myself
for not holding her close
every moment im blessed to stand pysically near to her

come
again
please
come again

you are my heart
wrapped up in dust
on velvet

our connection is beyond language and because that is often misunderstood. our flow can travel upstream, can sing lullabies to alien kitties, and can turn fabric into master pieces. i am saved by your poetry even across the world and i am honored to work with you just the way that we do...and i am grateful that i get to laugh and ride the waves of love between us. xx. amelia.

:: Oxford Lectures on Poetry ::

The nature of a work of art
is to be not a part, nor yet
a copy of the real world
(as we commonly understand
that phrase),
but a world in itself,
independent, complete, autonomous;
and to possess it fully
you must enter that world,
conform to it's laws,
and ignore for the time the beliefs,
aims, and particular conditions
which belong to you
in the other world of reality.

Ω

Give me, oh earth, pure unmingling
clay for the jug of tears;
my essence, pour fourth the weeping
which is lost in you here.

In the well-made vessel,
that restraint dissolves itself.
Only the nowhere is evil,
all being suits itself.
