You are not connected to *B*
want to grow your network?

B says "if you want to be my friend; just be real" and that she is. She's adept at the fine art of seeing through the words and finding a human being behind them.

for the walk and the movie and the catch up time,
you are beloved April 8, 2007
*B* is the very essence of kindness, compassion, wisdom, and beauty. She's shown me the face of grace in the face of adversity. She broke through my skepticism about humanity, and showed me how one person can make a difference.
I can't imagine life without her in it. Nor would I want to.

The Path
(in Sacred Sexuality)
Now that we have so many members of this tribe, and a very diverse group at that - I'd like to know the various paths/influences to Sacred Spirituality are represented here.

When I joined tribe back in '04, I was eager to add friends to my network, as we all are when first discovering the joys of connecting here. I have to admit that I was less than selective about those who requested to be added to my network. Back then, if someone sent me an invitation, I would always accept. Over time, I have discovered that there have been some in my network whom I don't know beyond an avatar (which changes).

Tribe was such an important part of my reconnecting with life and community after the loss of so many things, huge life transitions and starting over in a new city and in a completely new life. Over the past year, tribe has become less and less the place I have come to - mostly due to the maintenance problems and the technical glitches - how I miss the old days. As a result, I have reconnected with old friends, new friends and tribe friends through facebook. Fb has become the network hub for me these days but I do miss all of my tribe friends and would like to invite you to visit me on facebook. If you wish to. My facebook presence is my under my name *real life* name. Anyone who would like to find me there, please send me a pm and I'll send you the link. I'll still check in here from time to time but I do miss all my tribe friends and hope to *see* you again soon. *B*
Tuesday night was a big deal for me. Watching Obamah's speech in Grant Park, not 45 miles from where I grew up and watched the Chicago race riots on TV as a child, tears of emotion choked me with the enormity of what I was witnessing.

In his speech, Barak mentioned another president who had come from the state of Illinois, a Republican who had changed history and challenged the economics of his day by ending slavery. What synchronicity! A Republican Illinois Senator named Lincoln who became president, set in motion a series of events which would one day lead to the election of a Democratic Senator from Illinois named Obama, who would be the first African American President of the United States. Those two defining moments in history converged this last Tuesday night. A synchronous moment in history which brought with it an opportunity to move into the future together, united in a way that has never before been experienced. I have goosebumps.
