Soft, little chou-chou
Fold yourself down
Down
Down, dans mes bras
Where no specter
No bale
No half-buried dread
Can shadow your eyes
Sweet, sleep-softened eyes
Pliés-toi, pliés-toi
In my arms, little chou-chou

All swaddled in silver
And shriven in star-shine
Your crèche is the palm
Of a measureless hand
And a bark, to flow straight
To the perfume of morning
And mornings forever

And seventy hushes
The verses to sing you
Deep
Ostinato
The music to sing you
And balanc... read more

It blows cold in Clacton
On the sea and from the sea the wind blows on and
On not from the air but from the deep
From the current below the foam from the spray
From the silt and the water itself

And the gulls cackle in Clacton
Baby laughing lunatic peacock retarded
Top Cat! They gossip bicker woo and sobbing
Cry, one could go mad

One could go mad, or one could dance
Twist shimmy pivot circle eight walk
Like a camel twirl a cane seduce
The light with veils defuse the dark co... read more

I heard you call
A silent longing, measured out to span
A gulf of ancient winter past
All past, exploding
From near shadow
Song and song and song of you

The clycone to my anomie
Impossible without and with
Or not, and beauty is
Inside the eye
Endurance is
Inside the eye
I resonate
I resonate
And oscillating burst into ten times ten million suns,
All whirling, in G minor key

A slender grip on me, and you
Lucid gypsy colored hot
WIth rushing strokes to fill the air
To ... read more

A ragged and infatuated moth
Flits
and dances
down
the ways
of night-
Wingdust and unfocused eye
There must be oceans in the sky
To give pale peace
To moths and lovers

But deep in compound eyes does wan illumination
Shine?
In a sea of clouds crescendos rise
Invoking currents of hours, and waves of joy
All gone, like powder sand through grasping hands

And I could not hold joy
Those moonbeams bottled by a child
A child becomes a man, and joy becomes duty
It is the way... read more

Upcoming for Rick and Bel Cobra Dance

Coming soon from Bel Cobra Dance..."Afterfall," set to Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor (the "Dorian"). Rick will also be resuming work on dance projects including a ballet pointe piece set to "Haunted Palace" by Miranda Sex Garden guitarist Ben Golomstock and sung by the amazing Katie Jane Garside (music video in the works!), and "Celebration of the Magdalene" set to "Magdalen" by Chicago based singers extraordinaire Arcanta. Rick is also in discussion with one of America's premier classical guitarists about a new collaboration.

In January, Rick will be attending the Congress of the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA). This event is heavily attended by the world's major performing arts directors, booking agents, executives, including leaders from the Lincoln Center (NYC), Chan Center (Canada), Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.), Barbican Center (London), and festival directors from Europe and worldwide.
