R.I.P., little one

I lost one of the tiniest things dear to my heart today.

Her name was Topaz. She was almost two years old. She was wonderfully amusing (often slept on her back), and a total snack-hound.

I miss her.

Sorry to hear it. It always sucks when we lose a pet.
:(
Big hugs.

Yeah, it's days like today that make me say I'm never getting any more pets, but that never sticks.

I'm so sorry, honey. I know what you mean...I've often told myself that I'd never get another, but all of that pain is only there because of all of the joy that they brought in the first place : ). Give yourself some time. No being will ever exactly replace Topaz, but when you're ready, you'll find a place for someone new. <extra big hugs>

aww RIP little Topaz.

It's crazy how much these little furballs touch our hearts, isn't it. Chin up babe, he's a happy mousey in heaven

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that.

What a cute picture! I've never considered having a mouse or rat as a pet. Obviously it was pleasant for you though, eh? I'm sure that Topaz had a rich life while he was with you. He was lucky to have your love.

Thanks, you guys.

I can't believe how much I miss her. I keep getting up to check on her, as she had been feeling yucky on and off the last two weeks. I still have three of her sisters.

Ang- she's actually a rat, though it's hard to tell from the photo.

Joe- they are great pets! I call them my pocket dogs. They have great little individual personalities, just like dogs. The hardest thing is that their life span is only about two years. Just when you're really getting attached, it's time for them to go.

Big hugs and kisses backatchy'all!
