ALL SOULS PROCESSION FILM FESTIVAL MISSION

The All Souls Procession Film Festival serves the principal function of creating a forum for all people, from all cultures, to actively explore the phenomena of death, through cinema. This regards themes of Ancestry, Death, Greif and Loss, Rebirth, and Global Rituals & Festivals of Death. In summoning personal stories from around the world we increase consciousness around death as an integral aspect of life. By opening and encouraging conversation around the universal phenomena of death, and how we integrate it into our daily lives, we experience a re-humanization of our selves, our community, our culture, and our planet. We promote unity amongst peoples from different cultures granted by their empathic understanding of each other’s personal experiences with the deeply transformative nature of death and dying.
