Into The Galactic Dream

Friday Nights Movement Jam - Santa Cruz Vet's Hall - August 14th

   Wed, August 12, 2009 - 11:07 PM
There's a thing we do when we release utterly into the Now without knowing what's coming: we open a portal into the possibility of truly tasting what is. In this life of pressure, multi-tasking and rushing, full experience is a rare and precious gift.

Join us this Friday, August 14, as we present an entire evening of exquisitely crafted music created entirely in the Now and assembled in ways that are sure to move you.

As usual, the night consists of two parts, moving meditation and jam. However, for the first time one group of musicians will host the entire evening, essentially presenting a non-stop, three-hour concert.

Part I: Awakening Galactic Goddess. Sapien Sounds Moving Meditation featuring Rob Callahan on Divinatron.

Part II: Freestyle Jam with Sapien Sounds. "It's what we all do best," explains Krikor, of the nature of music and presence. "I've played with each of these musicians but never all at once." What's on deck:

Govind Rae: Electronic percussion/beat boxing
Kelly Koval: Vocals
Dorje Greenberg: Electric Bass
Rob Callahan: Divinatron and percussion
Krikor: Saxophone, keyboard, guitar, Middle Eastern strings & flute

And we'll be endeavoring to record the entire thing.

Hope you can make it.

Gratefully

Laura and Jason (Dolphin)
