Brian is such a gentleman! He's extertaining and witty and can talk geek with my hubby. I've rarely been so impressed by a man in such a way. He's so considerate and Krystal is one lucky lady!! So cheers for Brian!

What a gentleman! It's rare to see one of such tender age :) be such a nice guy and fun at the same time. He's always looking out for you to be sure you're happy (and if he keeps cooking fabulous meals like he does I will be). His sardonic wit will keep you wondering what the heck is he going to say next?

I guess I ought to mention that Neuroverse is playing a concert at Points East Pub in Milwaukee tonight. I'll be playing keys this time out. We should go on around 10 p.m.
Sorry for the late notice. Anyone want to go?

As it turns out, I just couldn't work out the Heartland Seminar on Arabic Music this year. There's a big event at the college at the end of the month, and I think it would be way too stressful for my co-workers if I were absent that week. I'm pret...

Drum class was cancelled, and I got home around 11:00 last night, but I've promised myself that I will practice every weeknight. As it turned out, I still played for an hour and a half. Take that, neighbors!
But anyway, I hope your practice is...

Group doumbek classes continue. It's been somewhat haphazard in organization, but I think that might be the nature of the beast.
I e-mailed Omar about private lessons as he requested, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Obviously, this would ...

I'm pretty disappointed, but at least I can still make it to Folk Tours in May.
Maybe next year I can start planning several months ahead of time so that there's not so much of a conflict. Ah well.

While I loves me some tabla, I am by no means a trap drummer, so Jon is looking for someone to play the live drums with us.

But anyway, I hope your practice is going well, too, no matter what you're practicing.
For anyone interested, I've added a del.icio.us module to my profile, and I'm throwing all my near eastern music links there.

I e-mailed Omar about private lessons as he requested, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Obviously, this would be because he's in the middle of touring with his band, but I'm naturally a bit paranoid and impatient. Was the e-mail less than communicative? Did I come off as too eager?
Really, I need to just chill out and practice as usual. It's not like I d...
