The site runs a lot of low CPM advertising which should only yield about $3 per thousand. This is a business that brings in about $8.8 million a year. The site is relatively inexpensive to run. Margins for the company should be in the 60% range. PerezHilton is in an extremely competitive part of the online entertainment content business. If the founder leaves, the site is worth almost nothing. With the founder staying, the business is worth $32 million, about 6x operating income.
