Big Mike is one of the most amazing men I’ve ever known. His capacity to love is boundless – He has such deep, meaningful long term relationships with the 2 women he lives with and he still has lots of love to give to the special friends in his life.

His word is golden. – If he says he is going to do something, he does it without fail.

Our communication ranges from funny, senseless and bizarre to challenging and enlightening topics. - No one in our circle knows me as well as he does and that has come with the gift of time and love.

Every day that he is present in my life is a beautiful gift that brings me a great deal of joy.

Spend some time with Big Mike and you will discover how well read he is and how capable he is at creating whatever he sets his mind to.

What a cool guy. He opens his home, his refrigerator, his bedroom, his wallet, his motorhome, his deck, his CD collection and especially his heart to a community of people in a way that few ever do. A+ for being a cool and totally generous person and all around great person. Thanks for getting me addicted to the DJ thing. I'll spin the 6am shift anytime.

about me
I'm polyamorous and communally own a home with others. I'm open, easy-going, and love my weekends at the beach. I'm slow to anger, slow to forgiveness. I avoid confrontation, while being blunt. I'm polite to strangers, and try to give others the benefit of the doubt. I tend to trust others until I find a reason otherwise. I know the difference between empathy and sympathy, and find empathy easier to manage. I'm introspective, and an individualist. I hate rules and rulers; they are there to make sure I don't have fun. I vote strictly Libertarian and have never missed an election. I hate joining committees because personal politics frustrate me. My bullshit detector can have an itchy trigger finger. I like chick flicks. I wash disposable cups instead of throwing them away. I think people see themselves in others. I see good people all around me. Favorite color is royal blue.

Re: symbiosis not happening in the same spot again. Too much heat. (in .: Symbiosis Events :.) 23 arrests? That's nearly as oppressive as Burning Man. That is such a sweet venue, and it saddens me to think that a unpermitted party is the only way we can gather without problems.

End the drug war. These people were probably hurting nobody,... read more

Re: I just got dumped because of my poly/kink tribes! (in Polyamory) > Good riddance to judgmental rubbish.

Oh, the irony...

I think that we should be judgmental when it comes to choosing partners. We should use whatever criteria is important to us, including any feelings that we get as we learn more about po... read more

Hear Dee Jay, See Dee Jay, Speak Dee Jay (blog entry) Caution: Nerd alert about the goings on of a sound mule, er, enthusiast.

I'm ecstatic. My two CDJs took a crap during Comfy Man in September. If you've seen 'em, they're a pair of Pioneer CDJ-1000s that are considered the gold standard. They ar... read more

Water, no water, water (blog entry) Living up here in the mountains, I've learned that maintaining a well and pump system for domestic water is an expensive and time-consuming effort. My pumps have a way of failing when it is least convenient, like during a party when I'm too intoxi... read more
