I want to thank everybody who avoided the malls and the chain stores to purchase holiday presents from independent merchants and craftspeople. My wife is one of those craftspeople She crochets and knits her little fingers to the bone to create the best quality hats, headbands, and other accessories for your enjoyment. Every now and then, something reminds me why I moved away from the East Coast. I periodically wax nostalgic for New York City. Lately it's been when ordering tea from a cafe. In New York, I ask for a cup of tea and they stick a bag of Lipton into a paper cup, and I have a cup of tea! He wept continuously during the funeral of his partner of more than 30 years and over a thousand films. “My Babe will understand why I can't be there.” He and Babe were so much in synch that they had strokes within days of each other.
