1.Tankard, Goblet, or Plastic Cup?
Wooden tankard, pewter goblet, or ceramic bottle depending on what I'm drinking (and which one of me it is...)
2. Did you dress your 1st time at Faire?
My first visit, no. The next weekend I borrowed some stuff from someone in Clan.
3. Big Faire, Dam Faire, or Southern?
Southern, although, I like the way "Dam Faire" sounds when spoken aloud. ;p
4. Do you regularly smuggle alcohol into Faire?
Moi?! Actually, one weekend each faire I bring in a mini kahlua for my coffee. (oh the shame... I'm such a lush!!)
5. What was the last thing you bought - other than food and drink?
A tiny little ceramic bottle for smuggling in kahlua...
6. Do you regularly pirate pictures?
no. I sure look at them though.
7. Ever followed the parade all the way through Faire?
Not recently. breathing is more important than parading.
8. Have you seen every show?
NO, not even close!
9.What does your favorite pin say?
Huh?? really it just says "huh??".
10. MUST your costume be period? Must it be faire approvable?
Must be WEARABLE!!! Still working on the Periodness, but have had almost no problems with approval.
11. Where was your last out-of state Faire?
Never been to one out of state... Anyone for a road trip??
12. Do you know the words to a Poxy Boggards' song?
Most of them, and they pop into my head at the most amazingly inappropriate times...
13. How many costumes do you have?
That fit? That are finished? I haven't a clue. a lot of my stuff is interchangeable..
14. Do you carry a blade?
Yes, a tiny thing for eating with.
15. Have you been flogged?
No!!! and before you ask... NO I DON'T WANT TO!!
16. When was your virgin year?
My first faire was Blackpoint in 1970 something...
17. Who originally introduced you to Faire?
My dad.
18. Have you been drunk at ale stand zero before ever entering Faire?
No, not really into the whole drunk thing. Though I frequently play happy drunken peasant.
19. Ever gotten a henna tat?
no, but I may this year.
20. Had your hair braided?
yes... once
21. Do you use a tankard cover?
no, tankard gets empty too quickly to need covering.
22. Do you have pockets?
new skirt is getting pockets.
23. After seeing what happened to TruBBle, will you tell anyone it's your birthday?
didn't see what happened to TruBBle...
24. Do you carry a cell phone where it can be seen?
Oh PLEASE!! in VIEW??!!
no.
25. Will you shed part of your costume if it's hot?
YES!! first though I will get my butt into the shade!!!!!

26. Do you want an article off of someone else's costume?
??
27. Ever had a run-in with security?
of course, I'm a faire brat...
I left my pass in the print shop and had to be escorted back up to retrieve it.
The moral is don't hang out at the front of faire during sweep without it...
28. Do you bother with Faire-speak?
not as much as I should.
29. Have you been on either end of the blue ribbon?
:-) I'm not telling...
30. What do you carry on you, that most other people probably do not?
a fabric ball covered in blackwork, a barbie sized rag doll, and the other things that inhabit my basket.
Half of the time I don't know what's in there.
31. Is sunscreen a normal part of your costume?
It really should be. sometimes I remember...
32. What color is your shirt?
Which one? Middle class, white linnen. Peasant, could be anything. I have a grey one, a blue one, a cream one, and a green, gold and white striped!!!
extra credit...
One of my favorite costumes was the green, gold, and white striped chemise, with a blue and multicolored striped bodice, and a brown and multicolored striped skirt wrapped in a bright red plaid!

The weather has been prety good lately, and the weeds are going crazy! It must be time to start some seeds for the garden!!!
I got seeds for some fabulous sunflowers. Some really BIG ones (14' tall with lots of side branching) some in shades of red thru gold, some just plain single flowered giants, and some little ones. The potatoes have not yet been planted, but will be by the weekend. I have some that are red all the way thru... and some sweet potatoes that are purple inside!! Other goodies in the vegie plot will be assorted tomatoes, carrots, melons, squashes, beans, corn, etc... Hey, anyone for white carrots, yellow podded snow peas, or red celery??
Looking forward to some great eating from the backyard this year!

There was a salamander on my front stairs today. It was the smallest one that I've ever seen, about an inch long.
Made my day! Now if we can just get some frogs!

I had pretty much given up on ever again seeing a piece of embroidery that I've been working on for a long time. I put it SOMEPLACE at faire, then, couldn't remember where.
:(
Happily it was found and returned!!!
:)
Thanks Sue and Dave!!!
