While trick or treating on Halloween, Jordyn was given a kitten(but she had to wait a few weeks for the kitty to leave mom-cat)...well, she became a member of our family today and here she is.

Jordyn and i spent the weekend in Denver with her Godmom, Christy, and we had a ball! Jordyn refused to nap on the loooooong drive(i should note here, the drive isnt really that long, but when your kid doesnt stop talking the ENTIRE time, it tends to feel longer), so no nap=cranky kid and cranky mom :) Thankfully she went to bed early the first night, and then took a lengthy nap the next day...and woke up as the angel i know her to be ;) It was great to get off the mountain for a few days a... read more

Look what Justin pulled out of the pond with his bare hands. This big guy wouldnt last thru the winter in our pond...too big...so Justin and Jordyn decided to save him.
They placed him in this bucket and walked over to the main river to let him go there...and now he's a happy trout! :)

I know its early, but Jordyn has been begging me for two weeks now to get out the Halloween decorations...and since it was such a gorgeous day, we decided to go for it!
Jordyn and Daddy had fun decorating our pirate pumpkin...the nice thing about these little plastic pieces, besides the fact that its like having a giant Mr. Potato Head, is that you can enjoy a decorated pumpkin all month without fear of it rotting!

Rogue Camp officially ended at 7pm tonight, when the last Rogues pulled out of the driveway. We shared laughter, food, music, dancing, kegs, potato guns, oxygen, more laughter, more food, hilarious stories, zip lines, tears, glow sticks, and even more laughter. Rogue Camp was officially kicked off last night when the first two marauders, Ali and Phin, showed up...and partook in a shot of rum! We have quite a crew of pirates showing up this year, traveling from all over the country....Michigan, Florida, New Mexico, Utah and Idaho. Last year was super rainy, so several folks canceled on us, meaning this years adventures should be filled with revelry!

Here are some shots of Jordyn enjoying her new sandbox from grandma and grandpa...as you can see, she loves it! I have to admit, so do i...on those days i miss being near a beach, i can take of my shoes, and wiggle my toes in the sand, and im good to go! Building sandcastles is cool too! I also love the little crank to lower the shade cover...keeping cats and other animals from using it as a litter box! :)
