I noticed the letter on the counter, and balked a bit foggily. Addressed to me from the Oakland P.D. So I took it down to the place I’m currently crashing in (AKA the Man Cave) and opened it.

I picked up Paula from SFO last night, but, as usual with both parties, I didn’t check whether the flight was delayed, and the flight was delayed.
