Cancer: The Great Mother
Sat, July 1, 2006 - 9:07 AMThe cycle teaches us that the only constant in life is change. Nothing is static. From the tiniest cell to the most complex organism, the eightfold cycle repeats:
1. SEED (new beginnings, rebirth)
2. SROUT (challenge, out with the old, in with the new)
3. GROW (root, break bindings in order to change)
4. BUD (develop, evaluate)
5. FLOWER (fulfill, consummate, illuminate)
6. FRUIT (wisdom, experience, teach)
7. HARVEST (reap, let go, reflect - grace, poise, gratitude)
8. COMPOST (transform, recycle, extract nourishment for the soil and the new cycle)
With Cancer, grounded in the magic of our home as a temple, we let our feeling nature show us the way. Cancer tells us that in order for our physical form to become a true and divine home for our Spirit, we must ground and learn to express the harmony and wholeness inherent in the cycles of nature (the feminine principle) AND to align with our indwelling Eternal Flame (the masculine principle). For the Moon (rules Cancer) has no light of her own -- she reflects that which is symbolically eternal ... the light of the Sun."
