As the vocabulary goes up the sentences get more concise and to the point. Since the free writing is only 1 segment of 10 on the test, I'm sticking a bit closer to the basics so I can devote more time to studying the grammatical structure.

I'm writing a paper with MSO 2003. I know it's not really what Office was designed for. But I'm stuck with it. My instructor wants the citations in MLA style.

He wants them like this: blah blanlei[pna 2008 bayabae The second line and every one there after Indented 5 spaces. But MSO 2003 wants to do this when I hit the tab key blah blanlei[pna 2008 bayabae The first and all the lines squished over 5 spaces. It will not let me use the spacebar to... read more
I've always gotten good grade in college -- top grades. But Beginning Spanish is just kickin' my butt! I took French in junior high and highschool with about a C average through out. I don't want to blow my average. It's a required course for my degree. I can't drop it because I'd have to give up a huge chunk of my Pell Grant (I'd be under 12 hours). So I'm just gonna hunker down and make it through. ù☺

I must be on some kind of spiritual bent. A lot of things make a lot of sense to me that I may not have considered in the past. The previous blog entry for one. And this for another. Sometimes I see both as true.

I'm not sure I have to pick either as Buddhism is a discipline not a religion. It's adherents aren't so much worshiping a "god" as they are seeking their own highest power. Is there? a god? FWIW 1. "Religion easily has the best bullshit story of all time. Think abo... read more

I know it's on Huffpo but they do publish the actual memo. It does say that CIGNA will fare the best and Humana will take a hit. They also say Wellpoint will take a hit. They also disclose that they are the fund managers for Wellpoint.

I was going to say how the states control their own curriculum, but I see this article is from the UK.

Re: Health Care Bill Saves $109 Billion

I've been arguing this for months. The best time to cure a disease is before the patient gets it. The earlier the detection the less treatment is needed. This translates into huge savings when it comes to government sponsored health care. People w...

Re: Political Realignments

The only problem with the Republican party imploding is what is rising out of it -- a mean spirited, right wing religious fanaticism on a par with that of the Taliban. This does not bode well. Should they decide to make a power grab you might as w...

Re: A thought for Veterans day.

I like Le Jaquelope's idea best. If they want to fight a war let *them* fight it. Personally I'm for the scenario of putting the two leaders on an island alone and waiting to see which one lives. Obama could take almost all of them.

I've never met a woman more willing to ask the tough questions and take the hard looks at herself. Never. She has a core of strength I am not sure she sees yet but she's already drawing from it. Treat her well because not only does she deserve it but as she realizes how kick ass she is she won't be putting up with anything less and then how bummed would you be to lose her from your life? Plus she has a secret posse of women who have her back(o;
