i found out yesterday that the journal, heeltap, has accepted two of my poems, "and the traces get more difficult" and "common malady," for publication in their upcoming issue. i had a poem in their #11 issue a year or so ago, and it's exciting to get more work onto the pages.

as you all must know by now californians approved proposition 8 which makes gay marriage illegal. other states, arizona and florida this election, have also banned gay marriage. so perhaps it's time for those who run the queer political machine to stop looking for straight approval and begin critiquing marriage as a civil institution. clearly marriage is a religious ritual, all the arguments against gay marriage makes this clear. unfortunately, the queer leaders seem to believe that they ...

Apple recently donated $100,000 to the No on Prop 8 campaign stating:

i'm in lyons getting ready for rocky grass. i've been staying with my friends annie & eben. they have a beautiful house in lyons and have been gracious hosts. yesterday annie, anna, and amie took me along for a pedicure and manicure. i hadn't thought i'd be a part of this, but, i was. my first time ever! it was fun and the girl talk was silly. feet feel great now, though. i'm sure i'll do it again. add some color to my world.
