about me
I have lived in the US, Asia, the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Germany and worked at a variety of jobs from editor-in-chief of multilingual magazines to facilities tech at a research center. The best job was as a boat bum and it lasted 10 years. Okay, I did some real work during that time, but it was stuff like playing in sleazy waterfront dives in the Caribbean.

Runon

For those who follow my music, I dropped my soundclick site. For reasons having to do more with business than art, I changed over to Broadjam (www.broadjam.com/Teja) where you can hear a very odd cross-section of my music, ranging from jazz, to neoclassical to folk. Enjoy! Feedback would be appreciated. For introspective neofolk fior existentialists, check out the tune PILOT LIGHT.

I am spending lots of time writing new music these days. Not just songs, although I am writing some R&B tunes with a friend, but also compositions and arrangements for all sorts of instruments. Also working on a new album of songs I've written with Uncle Steve -- a singer/songwriter in Canada. You can hear some of the stuff as I post it on my web site www.geocities.com/edteja or www.soundclick.com/edteja

Feedback is always appreciated.

A friend of mine named TBone Fisher is an acoustic blues musician living in Amsterdam. The guy has given it his all for a lotta years. He's played all over the Carribean, Venezuela and the Northwestern US. But these days just getting by is still a chore. (The picture is of us jamming in Venezuela at Punta Cangrejo.)

Partly the problem is that the live music club scene is dying (noise restrictions, nonsmoking bars, competition from DJs and karoake). Partly it is just life. I see the same th... read more
