Ramblings...

Yuppers, tiz true: I've acquired my first motor-powered two-wheeled uber fun contraption-of-doom, OF DOOM!! I know of at least 4 of yall around here with similar conveyances... lemme here ya, post up your toy's stats.

I'm taking a beginners riding course (since I'm such a bike noob, I still smell like uterus), then getting insurance and the title transfer thing done, THEN I fully expect to hear about those bad-ass curvy country roads around DFW that beg motorcycles to grace them. I've s... read more

(aka: Burningman)

So, seemingly how only about 50,000 people out of the billions of humans than exist on this planet made the yearly trek out to the Nevada desert, there is much work to do in the years to come. Those that did make it out comprised some of the most beautiful, creative, giving, honest, and genuine people I’ve ever come across. Yes, with any group as large as those who attended BM this year, the Bell Curve exists… but for the vast majority, it/they really took my breath aw... read more

Oh hell ya, that is most definitely a bomb-diggitest water park ever! The park is made up of two parks: East and West.

One of them is basically, your normal, run-of-the-mill water park with two exceptions: The Torrent and Master Blaster. The Torrent is what a normal "Lazy River float thingie" is on a heroic dose of Meth. Big ass rolling 3' breakers, real class-3.5 white water (for a short stretch), and enough people to make drowning under a mat of tubes a definite possibility. The ... read more

So, Tigger and I by separate miracles, both received invites to Transformus (their way of handling ticketing)... which is where I'll start this blog for brevity sake.

The trek took us through Atlanta where Eli graciously shared his place with us so we didn't have to make the entire 17 or so hour drive in one shot. The next morning allowed us to get there right after opening where ticketing went very smoothly. No greeters for those who showed up early and I don't know if there actually wa... read more

ROT - what a riot.

Did the Austin trip with my dear old Dad for Fathers Day this year. Holy hell, what that a good time! Sort of a mix of Mardigras, NASCAR, and the Redneck Games, mixed into a campout, a 24x7 rolling bike show, and music festival.

Intense full-time biker gangs, millionaires with their toy haulers, frat boys, and maybe even a couple Burner-types all eating meats-on-sticks, swillin cheap-ass domestics, and sweating in the Austin heat watching scantily clad girls get n... read more

Re: Fire retardant geodesic dome cover needed - ideas, availability etc? (in Geodesic Design Group) How about this: Keep your fire sources more than 18" away from the dome... and just use the same material as last year.

Re: Got MYSCHIEVIA? (North Texas' Regional is ON- October 8-12) (in burning flipside in austin) That's right, we burned the Freak this past Sunday night. Oh yea!! If you Flipizens didn't get to see it burn, ya might wanna keep an eye on YouTube for at least a partial-experience.

Re: funny yellow mushroom (in Permaculture) I don't know the actual type, but looked it up once and found it to be harmless to the plant (and isn't fit for human ingestion), sourced primarily via what potting soil is comprised of.

I don't know of any mushrooms that actually harm your pla... read more
