A sad day!
Fri, October 27, 2006 - 1:30 AMBut now this particular part of the course is over, the exam sat, and today it all has to go back so someone else gets to use it next year. I'll be really sorry to see it go........ anyone got a polarising microscope looking for a new home?

Toys for grown ups. Just like the young ones, we despair their departure. I'm so sorry you have to pass it along.
I have an extra jeweler's loupe if that will help - lol. |

It's a little thing a bit like the lens you have used for geology,'tis a round or hexagonal magnifying glass, very trendy to whip out of ones pocket and look at the size of an engagement ring 'frinstance

Hoping for some fossils! if the kits so far have been anything to go by, there will be a basic selection so that there is something to actually look at at clos quarters and hold rather than doing everything out of a book... I'll keep you posted!
By the way..... Rob has just started a fossil tribe which is worth a look! tribes.tribe.net/fansorpaleo |

can't you buy yourself one if you need it anyway? If it is to exensive than second hand.... or on rates.
Your education seem very interesting! As I am all my life keeping to study and preparing exams I can understand the excitement... At the moment I have to prepare an exam on economy and tourism.... I love it, but it takes a lot of time. I don't receive such fancy boxes, only books. But my niece is very much interested in stones and is collectin them and having her own collections of stones... She is 10 years old. What do you intend to do after finishing your studies of the OU? |
