"Bombshell Betty's: Fine & Wearable Art Gallery" is seeking artist/designer submissions for consideration in upcoming exhibits. Bombshell Betty's supports and showcases work from variety and burlesque-related artists, performers, and students as well as artists whose work is inspired by burlesque, pinup, strip tease, variety performance, and vaudeville. We are looking for things that relate (even if only tenuously ) to the burlesque/fetish scene or feminitity/feminism in general.

The grand opening show last month featured works by Burlesqueteers Jennifer Lyman (Sweet Cheeks) and Amy Woloszyn and had an attendance of between 90-100 people. More than just talented burlesque performers, Lyman and Woloszyn showed what they could do with oils, acrylics, fishnets, beads, Rhine stones, silver dishes, dental x-rays, features, miscellaneous packaging, crystals, semi precious stones, and even a pot holder.

Interested parties should submit photos (or links to photos) of their AVAILABLE works, pricing of those works, a complete (show ready) bio, and info about recent/current shows if applicable, as well as volume of recent sales. People of all experience levels will be considered.

Please reply to this post with all the required info (we know CL has a limit to the size allowed for attachments, so pick your best stuff and we will ask for more directly if we are interested.

All "traditional" mediums will be considered as well as costuming, clothing, jewelry, sculpture, and photography.

In this special burlesque choreography session, we will be focusing
entirely on the choreography for the favorite Burlesquercise numbers
from the last 6 months of classes! Get caught up and ready to perform
the steps for several popular dance numbers: "Minnie the Moocher" ...
"Signed, Sealed, Delivered" ... "Electricidad" (the Latin number with
veils) ... and both the exotic and gogo versions of "Miserlou." That's
a lot of dancing!

As a special bonus, guest instructor and local burlesque starlet,
Ophelia Coeur de Noir, will be stepping in for one week to teach a
Cancan Dancing and Flexibility class! Starting off with a ballet warmup
specially modified for cancan dancing, we will then progress into
traditional cancan kicks and poses, traveling steps and stationary
moves, kick lines, petticoat manipulation and the art of flirting. For
this class, you will want to bring a petticoat or full skirt, if you
have one, and be sure to wear low, comfortable heels you’ll feel be
able to hop, kick and dance in!

8/18: Burlesquercise Student Recital @ Bombshell Betty's

Come one, come all, and see the debut performances of San
Francisco's newest Burlesqueteers!

Another term is drawing to a close and that means it is time for a
recital! With the recent opening of Bombshell Betty's, we now have a
perfect location to put on regular recitals in an intimate and
supportive setting. Support these budding Burlesquers as they show
off their stuff: some of them will be performing for the first time
EVER! You will see Burlesque's newest performers sharing stage space
with seasoned burlesquers who will be trying out brand new and
experimental material for your enjoyment!

This is a perfect opportunity to come see what we do here at
Bombshell Betty's as well as meet and talk to some of the students.
Sign-ups will be available for the new term starting the following
week!
