What color is your Earwax?

So me N Christina are watching this science program last night and we learned there are two different kinds of earwax, um genetically speaking.

The show stated that Africans and Caucasians have orange-ish earwax that has the consistency of a thick ointment.

Asians and Indians from the Americas have a lighter brown powdery consistency.

Both me n 'C have the powdery kind. Which is interesting cuz were both mixed...

No mention of the Polynesian races.
No mention of something in between concerning those of mixed races.

Interesting schtuff.

Hmmmmm. Mine is kind of burgundy in color and really sticky. Must have something to do with being Mexican-Dutch-Irish-Jewish, I guess....

Mine is, you know, wax-colored. Duh.

Does anyone else besides me sometimes get tranced out while cleaning their ears? After a good hot shower, I can be merrily Q-tipping away and then realize I've probably been doing it for fifteen minutes or so...

be careful with Q-tips. It actually wears the membrane of your eardrum down after a while, making it easier to puncture

Ok, so this is me discovering yet another "alien" trait I must have. My earwax changes all the time. I've seen it in the two states you listed, and in various combo-states and in-between mixes of that. I thought everyone's changed like that, maybe depending on what's going on metabolically at that time. (hydration levels, diet, health in general, etc.) I just always figured it was like that for everyone. Weird.
