Happy Día de los Muertos, dancers and friends!

Daylight Savings Time ends in just a few minutes. As you set your clocks back today, I encourage you to consider what you might do with an extra hour every day. Would you commit it to your personal dance or yoga practice, nurture connections with loved ones, relax in your favorite sanctuary, volunteer for a local nonprofit organization, curl up with a good book, write a thank you note to someone you admire, or find a way to move towards your creative dream somehow?

Scheduling time to follow your bliss even for a few minutes every day can really change the quality of your life and your sense of purpose and fulfillment. Today is the perfect day to honor those who have come before us by embracing whatever makes us feel the most grateful and alive.

Laura and I are off to Texas to emcee and stage manage at Tribal Alchemy this weekend. Especially looking forward to taking workshops with Mira Betz, Liz Strong, Rose Harden, Asharah, Sooz and Dave Hall, and all of that amazing Southern hospitality.

My free Tribal Belly Dance class is scheduled in the afternoon, but you might want to try Hip Hop, Popping, Locking, Break Dancing or Zumba. Bring a friend!

A juice bar downstairs sells sandwiches and smoothies to help keep you going for as many free classes as you can take. Discount class packages for sale all day, and some great vending. Yes, I’ll be selling CDs from EMP’s great collection of belly dance music, finger cymbals for just $12 a set, pouches for $1, and coin belts for $20. I might just have some fun goodies from Geisha Moth or Melodia Designs with me, too. I try to bring everything to every class, but let me know if you have something special in mind on a certain day.

July is such an exciting month in San Diego, with everything heating up and so many fun things happening outdoors. I am off to assist Frédérique at Tribal Umrah in France this month; what a dream come true!
