My Testimonials

Brac the monte!

I am shocked to find out that Ben thinks there are vast canyons if difference between him and I. Where the hell do you get that from? =P

Ah Ben, one of my oldest and most long lived friendships. I low we have a history! and a bit of a long one at that.
- We used to spin glow sticks
- Then We used to suck at fire spinning
- We used to bitch about Ann
- I used to try and convince to do new drugs
- I had that seizure at Ann's house!
- we killed that small family of puppies just because we needed the blood (j/k)

That video is kind of kick ass and horrible at the same time, I love it. Its probably going to be one of those things I show my kids. But not before I show it your kids.

I LOVE THIS GUY!

In junior high ben was my biggest rival, then he became one of my best friends. Who doesn't love shit like that?

So now that i've met the Ben, I can confidently confirm everything that i suspected about this guy. From his 2 x 2 flash card-like-things, to the unsuspectingly charming license plate, his unorthodox smoking style with his 4th and 5th finger, and his nice janky-ass-goofy-boy-sexy-as-all-fucking-hell-smile, Ben can make any lolligagging saunter down the Haight be as dreamy as any non-date can be.

He's a rare gem. I can't speak for everyone in the world, but i definitely feel a reassuring understanding solidaritywith this kid. Something about his mind and perspectives is good, very good. How good you might ask?!? Well let's just say that after corresponding with him through talk, email, or ESP i get this warm feeling deep inside myself that makes me happy and inspired about life... or was that the Indian Aloo that I ate? Ahh schucks, either way Ben is a guy that i hope to be in contact with for the rest of my life. Alas, i can't chill with him as much as I want to since we're in separate countries right now. However, as a very dear Bracamonte once presented to me in some personal artwork, I resonate with the sentiment that "i'll wait years for a friend."

Ben is by far my best friend. He continues to prove him self to be one of the most amazing brothers I have ever been blessed with. His passion for his extensive array of arts inspires me to become a greater person. The growth I have watched him flow thru in the years that I have known him has been as rewarding and breathtaking as watching the sun rise for the first time. I would do anything for this man!

A comarade in post-relationship sobriety. Ben's got the looks, he's got the mind, he's got the lingo, the heart, and the soul. On top of it all, he's extremely cool and chill <I wonder why so many complimentary words have to do with cold temperature?? hmm???>

Go Ben Go!!!, <a take-off on the speedracer slogan>

To top it all off, as if he weren't a 10 enough, he's an ARTIST! Need I say more.

He's the nicest guy I've never met!

France I will see again, along with other parts of Europe. One big thing, of many, that Jessica and I have learned from our trip is that we didnt get to see all that we wanted, and we wont be able to untill... read more

Alrighty!

Last of the trips is done and completed. We had our last adventure in Nice, which is a major destination in the French Revieria. It was great timing b/c we were 2 weeks before the tourist season.

From our lodging, we had the beautiful stone beach less than 100ft away. We swam in the sea (the mediteranian that is), and got some sun burns in too! Despite the 50+ SPF lotion that we put on.

We also hiked up some crazy big stairs to get to the top of this old Roman fort, twice... read more

Let me tell you about the French Fair.

It is a special place, full of rides and games for the whole family can enjoy, just like the sign on the side of Disco fun house says.

On the sides of the magical wonderland, you can find many different kinds of games that you may even recognize from you own county Fair. There is a subtle French difference, one that permeates throughout every game. The prizes are of a wide variety, from vacuum cleaners, to panini presses, to LCD televisions, to poc... read more

The Basques are in the south of France and right close to the border of Spain. The climate there is mediteranian and rather similar to that of Sonoma. Also with all the hills and gentel mountains I got the feeling rather quickly that we were back in CA.

So Jess and I took that 5 hour train ride to meet some family friends of hers, Margret and Alian. These two met us at the train depot, drove us aro... read more

OK! Got back this afternoon from Amsterdam, took a nap and now am having a drink writting a blog at the bar. Good times.

Lets start in some semblance of chronologicalness.

On Fri Jess and I had to go to Chartres on a field trip, more or less. It was about a 2 hour bus ride, 2 and a half due to Paris traffic on the way back. Chartres is some little French town that has done well from all the tourism. Oddly enough there was a demonstration going on at the time that we got our of our busse... read more
