My Testimonials

February 1, 2005
A wry sense of humor with intelligence to back it up. Not to mention he's the go-to guy for so many things, he's got fingers in so many...pies. *grin*

I love the way Brad participates. He really listens and considers other viewpoints, but is not easily swayed from his own well considered opinions. I sincerely enjoy his presence on tribe. I hope someday to meet him in person.

Everyone needs a friend like Brad! No matter what the situation, he's always got your back, and he seems to have something wise to say on every subject--even if it's wise-ass. But whether you're embroiled in a quagmire of conundrums, or you need someone to keep you in stitches while you're hangin' at the bar, or you've accidentally set yourself on fire, Brad's your guy.

My Profile

about me
With some 20 years of experience in professional publishing, Brad Dosland has held the title of Art Director, Managing Editor, and Editor-in-Chief at major national newsstand magazines and websites. He served as Editorial Director for an international group of websites with offices in the US and overseas and, most recently, he was Director of Content for a streaming media start-up in Silicon Valley.

Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Brad runs Taboo Media, a custom publishing business for online and print, and enjoys working hands-on with creative people to help them realize their vision.

Brad has produced and co-produced major dance events, including the national Spark Tour (featuring Urban Tribal and Ultra Gypsy), the annual Undulation shows, the Nouveau Nights series of shows, the Tribal Throwdown festival, and Kosmos music and dance camp, which is going into its 7th successful year. Brad produced the bellydance epic Medusa & Machine movie documentary for Ultra Gypsy (and still holds out hope for its eventual release from legal limbo). He has worked with artists including Rachel Brice, Ansuya, Heather Stants, Amy Sigil, Kami Liddle, Zoe Jakes, Aubre, Jill Parker, Ariellah, Liz Strong, Lapsus, Cera Byer & Damage Control and more on original photography and design, but most people know his work photographing performances such as Tribal Fest, Shadowdance, Tribal Massive, Fire Arts Festival, Sea of Dreams, Eve's Elixir, Maker's Faire, Blood Moon Regale, and countless sets at afterparties and more intimate venues.
