I love my road bike: It gets me to work & play. I love to throw the Frisbee around...it's the gay mans football. I love Beauchamp...he's the best. I like to use ellipses to show off my lazy grammar. I like my apples Fugi and my coffee black. I like well lit rooms...mine is not. I realize that love is a strange battle, where the rewards are sweet. I also realize that solitude is a catalyst for invaluable growth...the kind that cannot happen otherwise. Im a big nerd, and thats fine by me. I like to read challenging texts that I dont quite understand because it makes me feel like Im climbing some sort of intellectual ladder. (Wheres this thing go anyway???) I miss my innocence, but hold on tightly to the lessons-learned. I miss living on the East Coast. I miss the warm nights, the thunderstorms, the annoying buzz of thousands of cicadas. I miss country rides alone at night in my Volkswagen with the broken sunroof (secured by ducted tape) and the shitty sound system. I miss being a kid...not a teenager, a kid...when my main interest was sitting in my room playing with my GI Joes, He-Man toys, or Lincoln Logs. When I was a young'n I would let glue dry on my skin in big oval shapes and then peel it off like it was my actual flesh. I loved doing that. Once my 4th grade teacher tied a string around the leg of a Japanese Beetle and it flew around and around in circles while he held the other end. I thought that was smart, scientific even...but now I'm totally against the mistreatment of animals. Really, I am. Did somebody say something about a monkey? Oh, and I don't like flat tires or cold showers...
