When I reached the peak of the earth I looked down

All around me I could see the disk of the visable earth.

Every climate.

Every geography.

Everyone.

Everything.

There was room for only one standing there at the top, where there were no secrets.

I returned to the earth below me.

I never needed to climb the abismal trail to know that what I needed was down here- but now I can't see where it is.

I'm not going to be out of town on Memorial Weekend, as I thought I might be, so instead I'm inviting people on Sunday the 27th to celibrate my birthday with me at my home in Pasadena. I'm not sure who's in town or not for the holiday, but you and your friends are invited, as long as everyone's nice to my neighbors.

I am taking requests for hospitalities.

Since I've managed to work out my work situation and my teeth situation and all that sort of stuff, it's time for me to find a better place to live. It's not that I don't like sharing a studio apartment with no parking, I just know that I can now allow myself better. I've paid my way through the end of September but if something comes up a bit sooner or later, I'm happy to work something out. That's right, live shadow puppetry near LA. I enjoyed them last year and plan on attending this year again. Four show dates and two venues are listed on the website.

This Sunday is when I plan to attend, after which I'm going out for a near new moon picknic somewhere under the would-be starts of the LA region sky. Bring sandwiches.
