I'm just thankful I'm ok, and that I was alone and didn't have the kids with me. But....sometimes...when it rains, it pours. :(

Car-Motorcycle Crash is Longview's 15th Fatality of Year LONGVIEW — Police continue their investigation into the city’s 15th traffic fatality in 2007 following the death of a 45-year-old Longview man last night. Longview Police Sgt. Shaun Pendleton said a two-vehicle accident occurred about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Gilmer Road and Fairmont Street. “According to the initial accident report, a 1996 Jeep driven by 19-year-old Katharine Faye Crutcher of Ore City was traveling northbound in the left turn lane of Gilmer Road and stated she had a red light, but when she tried to stop prior to turning left, she was unable to do so,” he said. Pendleton said the jeep then collided with a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by Daniel Joseph Gremillion of Longview, traveling southbound in the inside lane of Gilmer Road. Gremillion was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center and pronounced dead at 8:59 pm. Ms. Crutcher was not injured in the accident and required no medical treatment. “As is standard procedure in all fatality accidents, blood samples were collected from both drivers and will be sent off for analysis. The results are pending,” Pendleton said.
I finished one of my stocking projects. These are NOT period stockings, but I wear them anyway.
These are the Over the Knee Socks from the book, Handknit Holidays. I really enjoyed making them. The yarn is a commercial silk/wool blend that is a light sport weight. They aren’t uneven, I just need some garters to [...]

I haven’t written in a while, but life has been hectic (death in the family etc). This past weekend we went to Bordermarch Autumn Melees. I had great fun there last year, and I was not disappointed again this year. We arrived on site about 3:30 in the afternoon and got our tent set [...]

In addition to the Letter of intent for the event, I needed to present the Baron and Baroness an example of my craft. I kind of wanted to do something besides things that involved string, so I sat down yesterday and made a few beads…
I have a few more mandrels dipped so I can make [...]

My lord and I are going to a tourney soon in the Barony of Bjornsborg. It is called Ursae-Lyons and they require a Letter of Intent to compete in the tourney. I decided I would make the one for My Lord to send to the Baron and Baroness.
I have done charter panting in the past, [...]

What can you say about events in Ansteorra in the summer? THEY ARE HOT!
We went to Lughnassad hosted by the Shire of Loch Ruadh the weekend of August 10-12. This was our anniversary. We met a year ago at this event. The event was nice and small (as usual) and I got to visit with [...]
