I am a kid at heart. Yet the grown-up world is becoming more incorporated into my reality. I am a very music-oriented and thoughtful person. I rely heavily on the beautiful souls sharing this world with me for love, comfort, laughter, promise, support, lessons, reflections, perspective, and truth. Sometimes I rely on people too much. I'd like to be more self-sufficient. That's why I left last year for solo adventures overseas for 8 months. I needed to become better friends with myself... needed to continue trying to become strong enough to handle whatever is put in my path (and humanity's path). Need to learn survival skills, not just turntable skills. :-)
But I do love my records, more than any other material possession. I've been collecting for several years now, and playing for a couple. Mostly downtempo, dub, trip hop, conscious hip hop, a little ambient... but I also have lots of sicky breaks and old progressive beauties that rarely get played.

I'm a sucker for the Orb, Orbital, Rockers Hifi, Tipper, Shpongle, Bluetech, DJ Shadow and Krush, (oh God I could go on for days)...

Music keeps me sane, and certain of the magic in this existence; the possibilities to shape and express our own emotions and realities. It is the language I understand best.

Love keeps me real, and grounded (though it also takes me flying....)

The Great Mystery keeps me guessing, and I'll never pretend to have it all figured out. :-)
