I <3 HeatherLyn, bigtime, and someday I'll even meet her in person! :p Most everything that I know of her I have either seen or learned about as a result of her goings-on here on Tribe, or has been imparted to me directly by her or those who love her as deeply and truly as I love them. And I have no questions about any of it, only curiosity and a desire to know more. Cuz she's cool like that...

Heatherlyn is the real thing. She is a high voltage, high capacity, kinetic and challenging and exciting gorgeous work of art. She is warm and hot and extra cool and I am proud that she is my friend.
I got y'all's pony right here.

♥ The Red Thread ♥

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.

Weird and Haunted Shores...

Even though it was probably my best year, and the year I was there the longest without working on a huge freaking art project, it seemed to go so fast! It's already blurring together, long stretches of the days where I can't remember what went on. The danger of not having a watch or really needing to know what day it is, I guess. And, you know, being really present and stuff. And just sort of idly wandering, hanging out with people, chilling in camp.

Some highlights:

This is a cup from the long-defunct TEPCO factory dumping site at the edge of San Francisco Bay. TEPCO, a giant crockery company that operated in El Cerrito from 1918 to 1968, dumped the "culls" (broken/no-good crockery) right onto the edge of the Bay. TEPCO made that sort of chunky ceramic crockery that would survive almost anything....the sort of stuff you'd see in old cafeterias, greasy spoon diners, and summer camp. (The modern equivalent would be The Denny's Coffee Cup).

As a result ... read more
