"Images, millions of images, that's what I eat"
--William S. Burroughs

Multi-racial, Bisexual, Neo-Pagan, quasi-intellectual from the slums of the South Bronx. Survived both the East Village and Haight Ashbury scenes. I am not gregarious by nature, but I can be charming if I absolutely must. I am most compatible with unpretentious people who think for themselves. I have an enormous appetite for music, literature, and sex (though not necessarily in that order) I'm also not above readng--and even writing--trash on occassion. It's true, I value solitude and reverie, but that doesn't make me inaccessible.

I have one really strange quirk: I find it hard to understand how any man who is responsive to the sensual beauty of women can be completely unresponsive to the sensual beauty of men, and vice versa. I believe exclusive homosexuality and heterosexuality are learned, culturally conditioned states of being. Nothing wrong with that per se, except for the fact that "gays" and "straights" seem to exist in mutally hostile, self-promoting enclaves.

I am homeless at present, but although it is frequently no picnic, I don't see my homelessness as an affliction. The Beatnik and Hippie influences in my life have made it easier to adjust to unconventional living arrangements. Of course, having my own laptop makes all the difference in the world. There is life to be lived and things to be learned and enjoyed, even without a roof over one's head., And now, of course, I have the additional satifaction of taking pictures with the first decent camera I've ever owned. I've always told myself I had untapped talent in that direction, but never had the opportunity to put that theory to the test--until now.

My Blog

I've only just noticed it, but it appears that, after six months silence, Lou (no longer homeless) has begun posting to his blog again! The silence-breaking post, entitled "Progress", is dated August 30th, 11:55 AM. And from the comments on the post it appears that certain members of Kengi's imaginary cheerleading squad have been resurrected as well. I'm reproducing this post for the public record:

Before I go one step further with this, let's get one thing firmly established: Kengi and ("Homeless") Lou are one and the same person. When I exposed this fact on my blog, I was dropped from both their friends list. I never knew of Kengi's existence until Lou confided in me that he had an alter ego by the name of Kengi, who was the driving force behind an organization called Do Something Saturday.

For the record, I'm once again posting a copy of Homeless Lou's message me, introducing ... read more

...Thanks for calling my attention to the Janna St. James saga. It has all the earmarks of a twenty-first century tragedy--with Harlan Ellison thrown in for good measure! Surely someone must be working frantically on a screenplay adaptation of this little drama. It has great possibilities. There are juicy parts for everyone. The part of Janna would provide a tour de force role for a veteran character actress like Kathy Bates. I can practically smell the Academy Awards.

I have a vague,... read more

LEST WE FORGET, HERE IS A COPY OF KENGI'S INFAMOUS "I SEE GOD IN YOU NIGGA!" BLOGPOST. (I CAN'T IMAGINE WHY HE SHOULD WANT TO ERASE IT, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE NEW FALL LINE OF " I SEE GOD IN YOU, NIGGA!" T-SHIRTS IS DOING SO WELL.)

ANYWAY, THIS CLASSIC SPECIMEN OF DENIAL IS FAR TOO PRECIOUS TO END UP AS SPENT MOLECULES FLOATING IN THE ETHER. IT IS REPRODUCED HERE AS A PUBLIC SERVICE, AND MAY ALSO BE PRESCRIBED AS A POWERFUL EMETIC, SHOULD THE NEED FOR ONE ARISE.

The following is a reply to a message I received shortly after my last blog post:

Dear ------
Yes, my break with Kengi is definitely due to a difference of opinion. Kengi seems to think it's ok to elicit donations of money, goods, and services on behalf of the homeless (so he says) by any means necessary. If this means inventing a cadre of fictitous cheerleaders who praise his every utterance, while inventing acts of charity, and attacking anyone who questionss Kengi's methods or who f... read more
