How nice to be fed at a gig I tell ya. What more can a touring musician ask for, and it's was great food too at Natasha's cafe in Lexington, KY. Jean the owner sat us down to nice veggie fare after our gig. There were about 30 people for the workshop and a few of them stayed after the gig to do some poi spinning with Raquy. Henry Sanders, who hosted us there, brought his two children to the gig. It was nice to have them there. What an attentive, energized crowd. I think it was our best... read more

Knoxville was a sucker punch that felt good. The venue is in this area called Market Square where there's eateries, shops, euro bunji, etc. Yo and I sat in square for an hour before the gig trying to scrounge up some audience members because it looked pretty thin. We weren't too successful. We started the show with an audience of about 25. By the end of the show, the place was packed. Hold the phones baby, this place rocked!!!

First of all, we found this place called Vegetarian Soul Food that was insane. They had this special seasoned tofu called Kalebone which was phenominal. It was run by African American Jews who live in Atlanta and in southern Israel, in the desert. They have a specific name but I can’t recall it.

Big thanks to Mary May and Krispin for putting us up and giving me soap J

Mary May did a really unique solo to Caravan. She t... read more

Wow!!! This is first sold out show in advance is RCM history!!! The response here was amazing. The volume of the cheering actually hurt my ears a few times and I was wearing ear protection. I particularly enjoyed the dancing of Nicole and Anne of Gypsyville and Andrea Perkins of Dandasha. The end of the night was the sickest dance party of the tour. The whole place broke out into dance.

Nice food at the Mudpie. I had a giant spud covered in sour cream, onions and chee... read more

The ride here was wacky. We decided we’d try to find a state park, or open field to have a picnic in. Every piece of land that looked like open land wound up being owned by someone. When we tried to find a state park, we couldn’t find it. Another state park was a half hour out of the way. We evenually pulled into a motel with a big piece of nice grass in front of it. As we started to unpack the stuff, the owner came out and we had to leave. I couldn’t wait any longer so I... read more
